I’m attending a fund raising event called “Denim & Diamonds” this Saturday. The cause is to to support, Jaden’s Ladder a non-profit organization that helps abused women in the area not only with shelter but an entire support system that enables long term guidance and self-reliance.
It is in the evening and there will be dinner and a silent auction. I always love wearing something a tad more formal or dressy. I didn’t want to just wear a dress and add diamond necklaces, and I love a good challenge when it comes to dressing up. I picked up this raw silk skirt that has a lot of charm and I’ve let my imagination run wild from there!
Since the raw silk is silvery-gray I knew I had to figure out how to add some bling to the waist area.
I picked up this band of diamond-like 2 yard “Bling” at a local craft store.
The skirt is long and the best way for me to balance it’s length is to wear a tight cami. In this case, it’s from Vicki Secret’s so it’s bit skimpy than I’m comfortable with (COLD).
The rhinestones and cami are goldish so I picked up some diamond bling to add.
I used tweezers and jewel glue and added the diamonds throughout the other stones for contrast.
I’m wearing a nude shoe without bling as the skirt is long and has a slight poof at the base.
Piling up the necklaces to cover up!
In order to keep myself warm from my skimpy lace cami, you guessed it~ a denim jacket!
